Campaign Story
Hi,
As many of you know, on September 18th Hurricane Fiona hit Puerto Rico and caused severe damages in many towns, especially those on the southeastern and central regions of the island. Five years after Hurricane María, we are once again seeing the devastating effects of natural disasters, as many Puerto Ricans have lost their entire homes and belongings to flood waters, and others now live without roofs.
Last week we met a very hardworking family with two beautiful and very bright girls. The oldest, a junior in high school, is a leader in the school’s robotics groups and dreams of becoming a lawyer, while the youngest is in kindergarten and is a beacon of light.
After the passage of Hurricane Fiona, their house was flooded and due to ownership issues, they may not be able to qualify for FEMA assistance. They lost their beds, sheets, towels, refrigerator, dressers, clothes, among other vital household items.
We would greatly appreciate any contribution you could make to help this family get back on its feet.
If you would prefer to donate items instead, please contact Mónica Pascual at mtpascual15@gmail.com and Marianne Tissot at marianneisabellejeanne@gmail.com.
With your donations, we can help this family buy:**
- Bedroom furniture set (bed, nightstands, dressers)
- Fridge
- Sheets
- Towels
- Clothing
- Computer for the eldest daughter
- School supplies – notebooks, books, etc.
- Desk for the two girls
- Clothing (the girls are 6 and 16 years old)
- Kitchen cabinets
- Bedding for queen, full and twin beds
- Doors (rotted due to flood waters)
**All funds received will be directly deposited to the family’s bank account.

Hola!
- Nevera
- Sábanas
- Toallas
- Ropa
- Computadora para la hija mayor
- Materiales escolares – libretas, libros, etc.
